Who’s this guy?
I’m Nash Ebbinge, founder of The Trainer’s Table. My passion for personal training, nutrition, and cooking led me to create this business, but the journey here wasn’t exactly straightforward. During my time as a personal trainer, I often felt like I wasn’t able to make the impact I wanted. Instead of fully helping people on their wellness journeys, I found myself caught up in selling memberships and pushing sessions. It felt like I was chasing sales more than guiding clients toward their goals, and it left me feeling disconnected from the real purpose that brought me into this field. I wanted to do so much more—particularly with nutrition and overall well-being—but I was stuck in a system that felt limiting.
Beyond fitness, cooking has always been my sanctuary. The simple act of running to the fish monger or exploring farmers' markets for the freshest seasonal produce became something I looked forward to every week. The beauty of prepping the mirepoix—the careful chopping of onions, celery, and carrots—wasn’t just a routine; it was a ritual that grounded me. The process of mise en place, setting everything in its place before the cooking begins, provided a sense of clarity and focus that carried me through even the most hectic days. There’s a rhythm to cooking that I fell in love with, from the sizzle of vegetables hitting the pan to the patience required to let flavors build in a slow braise.
While managing a restaurant, my passion for cooking only deepened as I learned the precision behind food preparation, the importance of safety and timing, and the art of balancing flavors. It wasn’t just about feeding people; it was about creating an experience through food. Over time, I earned certifications in food handling (ServSafe), nutrition, and personal training (both from NASM), which gave me the tools I needed to bring everything together and help people on a much deeper level. But even in the gym, I couldn’t guide clients in the way I knew they needed, especially when it came to how they nourished themselves outside of our sessions. Nutrition was the missing piece of the puzzle.
That’s why I created The Trainer’s Table. I wanted to step outside the gym environment and build something more holistic—something that combined fitness, nutrition, and cooking in a way that made a lasting impact on people’s lives. Whether I’m preparing a week’s worth of meals to support your goals, creating an intimate dinner for you and a loved one, or providing guidance through nutrition counseling, my focus is always on delivering something meaningful.
At The Trainer’s Table, I offer a range of services including personalized meal prep, private dinners, nutrition counseling, and tailored cooking lessons. With my background in fitness, nutrition, and the culinary world, my goal is to help you fuel your body and reach your health goals in a way that’s personal, enjoyable, and impactful. Let’s work together to create a healthier, more fulfilling life—one meal, one experience at a time.
